The Faerie Glen or Fairy Glen, is located in the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands. The Fairy Glen is a fascinating place, it has beautiful green hills, mysterious rock formations, unique tree formations, you name it. What makes it more enchanting is that there aren't any signs telling you where it is; so it can only be found by those who truly desire to see it.

ENGLAND

St. Paul's Cathedral, is a Protestant cathedral located near the Thames in London. There is much history associated with St. Paul's Cathedral. It was one of the only standing buildings during The London Blitz in 1940, it is also the resting place of many famous historical figures. The best part is being able to climb to the top of the cathedral and getting a wonderful view of London.

Stonehenge is famous for its unique rock formations. The rocks themselves were said to be formed in 3100 BC. It is unknown as to how Stonehenge was formed, which makes it all the more interesting. It's really quite something to see in person.

This is my personal favorite. I've been to London twice and seen Wicked both times I was there. It takes place at the lovely Apollo Victoria Theatre. The acting and music is fantastic. They have souvenirs and concessions you can buy. It is worth every penny you spend on the tickets. The friends I attended Wicked with are still raving about it a year later.

At the Guinness Storehouse, you get to tour the storehouse at your own pace. There are multiple levels filled with old equipment, and you get to know the vast history that is behind Guinness. At the very end of the tour, you get to go to the Gravity Bar, that has a 360º view of Dublin, and you then receive a free pint of Guinness, if you wish to have one.

You can go to the top of this magnificent landmark day or night. Once you're at the top, you have the most stunning view of Paris, you can see Notre Dame, The Seine, the Arc de Triomphe and so much more. The Eiffel Tower is a must, MUST see. You also have to go to the top, you will not regret it one bit.

EIFFEL TOWER

Notre Dame Cathedral is as beautiful on the inside, as it is on the outside. When inside,  you get to see some of the most beautiful stained glass windows. You also have the opportunity to climb to the top of the cathedral. When you are on the outside, by the bell towers, there are dozens of gargoyles that are just fascinating. You also get a nice view of the Eiffel Tower and the rest of Paris.

Some of the most beautiful works of art reside in the Louvre. You get to see the statue of Venus de Milo, 'Liberty Leading the People', and lastly the famous Mona Lisa, which is a must see.  When you see it, and think of everything associated with the painting and the man who painted it, you feel a deep appreciation for it, and you feel so lucky you get to see it in person.

Neuschwanstein Castle was built in the late 1800's for Ludwig II of Bavaria. He died before it was completed. Shortly after King Ludwig died, the castle opened to the public. To this day it is one of the most visited and well known castles in the world. It is a truly spectacular sight to see. The gorgeous mountains are bonus.

Everyone who has taken a history class knows of the Berlin Wall and its history.  Most of the Berlin Wall fell in 1989 when they demolished it, but a small section of it is still standing.  Near this section of the wall there are a number of memorials for those who lost their lives trying to get to the other side of the Wall. If you appreciate history, you would appreciate seeing the Berlin Wall.

ITALY

I spent a day in Venice and it was just crazy. It is amazing seeing how people travel in this city.  There are no cars, all travel is done by feet, bike, or boat. It really is a city that is slowly sinking. It also has such Italian like architecture. It's just wonderful. It's unlike any other place you could visit.

When I was in Rome, my friend and I spent a day in Vatican City. We visited St. Peter's Square as well as the Vatican Museums. I would encourage everyone to visit the museums, because the last stop is the Sistine Chapel. It was a really neat feeling knowing I was standing in a building thats ceiling was painted by the famous Michelangelo. Don't forget to grab a gelato when you leave the Vatican City!

Auschwitz-Birkenau is not for the faint of heart. If you have a love for history, especially World War II, just like me, I would say this is something for you. It's not a fun outing of course, but it's a very good learning experience. It really gives you a new appreciation for the life you have.

Isfjorden is just a hop, skip and a jump from the town of Ã…ndalsnes. The picture to the right is actually a picture of the fjord in Isfjorden, that was taken from the train station in Ã…ndalsnes. It is really beautiful. You can also hop on a bus to Geirangerfjord, which is one of the most famous fjords in Norway.
